List of Medal of Honor recipients for the Vietnam War

The Vietnam War, took place from 1965 to 1973. The war was fought between the Communist-supported Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the United States-supported Republic of Vietnam. It concluded with the defeat and failure of the United States foreign policy in Vietnam. The Medal of Honor was created during the American Civil War. It is the highest military decoration presented by the United States government to a member of its armed forces. The recipients must have distinguished themselves at the risk of their own life above and beyond the call of duty in action against an enemy of the United States. Due to the nature of this medal it is commonly presented after the recipient has been killed. During the Vietnam War 248 Medals of Honor were received of which 156 of them were presented posthumously. Soldiers of the Army received the most with 161. Fifty seven went to the Marines and 16 to the Navy. The remaining 14 went to the Air Force. The first medal of the war was presented to Roger Donlon for rescuing and administering first aid to several wounded soldiers and leading a group against an enemy force. Grundlage ist das Denkmalverzeichnis des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt, das auf Basis des Denkmalschutzgesetzes vom 21. Oktober 1991 erstellt und seither laufend ergänzt wurde.

東日本大震災に対する日本国外の対応では、東北地方太平洋沖地震に対する日本国外の対応について記述する。東日本大震災で大きな被害を受けた日本に対し、2011年5月2日の時点で、国連に加盟する191ヶ国の国および幾つかの国や地域、約43の国際機関等からの支援の申し入れや見舞いの言葉があった。参議院では、4月15日に「東日本大震災に対する国際的支援に感謝する決議」が全会一致で可決された。

Catedral de Santo Amaro

A Catedral de Santo Amaro é a igreja matriz do bairro de Santo Amaro localizada na cidade de São Paulo. O santuário tem, por trás de seu levantamento primordial, grande importância em relação à história e identidade do bairro paulista. Tudo começou com uma singela e pequena capela levantada em 1560 graças à doação da imagem do Santo Amaro, feita por um casal de portugueses, João Pais e Susana Rodrigues, que vieram para São Vicente na companhia de Martim Afonso de Sousa. A capela primitiva, construída em 1560, foi elevada à classificação de freguesia, já que a região de Ibirapuera foi perdendo seu caráter de aldeamento indígena em razão da grande expansão pela qual passava na época. O núcleo populoso, portanto, passou a usar o nome de Santo Amaro para identificar a vila em homenagem ao orago que contemplavam, doador da identidade que o local tem até os dias de hoje. Assim, em 14 de janeiro de 1686, com provisão passada por José Alarcão, fez-se a data oficial de criação da paróquia e da nomeação do seu primeiro vigário, o padre João de Pontes.
